Hadith Regarding Marriage

1. Do not marry women for their beauty. It is possible that their beauty may destroy them.
   Do not marry women for their wealth. It is possible that their wealth may make them rebellious
   instead. Marry them on the basis of their faith. A black maid who is a believer is much better for you.

2. According to Jarir Ibn Abdullah when he asked the Prophet about a man's gaze falling inadvertently on a strange woman, the Prophet replied 'Turn your eyes away'.

3. O young people those among you who are able must enter into marriage. For it helps to divert your
   attention from women and it is a safeguard against lust. Those who cannot marry must observe fasts
   for fasting too is a safeguard.

4. There are four reasons for a man to marry a woman: her wealth, her lineage, her beauty, her faith.
   Woe betide you!

Only enter into marriage with one who has faith.
